Small Animal / Companion Animal Services
In addition to caring for dogs and cats, we see birds, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, mice, sugar gliders, rats, and other various rodents.
Services include:
-Routine wellness care (preventative health care)
-Vaccinations
-Testing for parasites such as heartworms and internal parasites
-Diagnostic testing for illness or injury
-Routine surgeries provided include spays, neuters, cat declaws (using laser for less pain) and ear cropping.
-More advanced orthopedic surgeries such as stifle (knee) surgery for cranial cruciate repair using TPLO method
-Soft tissue surgeries routinely performed
-Gas anesthesia using isoflorine
-Up to date equipment for radiology (x-ray), ultrasonography (ultrasound exams), video scope (for magnification of external ear canals, etc.)
-In house laboratory diagnostics for immediate needs (for immediate test results as well as having access to outside lab testing when needed).
-Animals are boarded in climate controlled facility (heated and/or air conditioned). Dogs are walked individually twice daily.
-Medicated bathing and routine grooming
-Allergy testing
-Opthalmic care and tonometry
-Microchip Pet Owner Identification
-Science Diet and Purina Prescription Foods available
-Dermatology
We emphasize proper dental care as this is important for improving quality and length of life for small animals. Dental services include preventative care, teeth cleaning using ultrasonic cleaning equipment, and treatment for gingival diseases. House calls available for special circumstances.
