Lithonia Animal Hospital was founded in 1972 by Edward Ray Wright, a University of Georgia Veterinary School graduate. This hospital is located slightly to the east of Atlanta, Georgia and provides comprehensive veterinary care to both small and large animals. Their range of services includes preventive, advanced and emergency care, with modern equipment available to perform various medical procedures such as diagnostics, dental care, surgeries, vaccinations, and radiology.

Raised in rural North Carolina, he grew up with a deep love and respect for all creatures, great and small. His passion for animals led him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After completing his undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University, Dr. Wright attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
He graduated in 1972 and began his career as a veterinarian soon after. Throughout his career, Dr. Wright has worked with many animals, including cats, dogs, cats, small mammals, horses, cows, goats, sheep, and more. He has earned a reputation for his exceptional surgical skills, compassionate care, and dedication to the well-being of his patients.
Dr. Wright is a strong advocate for animal rights and welfare. He has been involved in numerous campaigns and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of animals, including serving several rescue groups. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Wright is a devoted father, grandfather, and, most recently, great-grandfather.
He has three children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and pets, gardening, and driving his tractor. Today, Dr. Wright continues to practice veterinary medicine and is highly respected in his field. He is a mentor and role model to aspiring veterinarians and a valued member of his community. His tireless dedication to animals and his patients is an inspiration to all who know him.
